Then it hit me--Luna. She's such a character that we know very little about, so I was super excited about the thought of delving deep into her "past". First, note that you can either take it as she goes back in time or is actually FROM that time period and has been sent forward, you decide! So, poof to the past, we see her attending the school, and being completely smitten by Sirius Black, although she refuses to admit it. He knows it, and begins to flirt back, taking her on dates and following her around Hogsmeade. So she is thinking about what she knows is in store for the future, and knows her father and Ginny/the random girl won't believe that she loves this man so much, so she ignores her love. Sirius continues flirting, and finally, Luna lets herself go and tries to kiss him, but he realizes he has wronged her, and tells her no. She storms out of his car (pretend it can fly and it's pre motorcycle, lol). So to show him that it hasn't hurt her, she decides to attend the ball, where she has a good time with him, but then gets the feeling he doesn't love her, gets in an arguement with him, and storms out. (Either pretend you can't see Ginny/the friend, or pretend Luna never realized she was there all along.) So, the following school day, when asked to speak in front of the class, Luna professes her love to Sirius and storms out, never to see him again, as she performs a spell to send her back to where she came from (or TO the future). Back home, she is comforted by Ginny/random friend, who knows that something is going on with her life, but Luna can't help it, and goes back to see him one last time, where they both finally realize how they feel.
